Update we've made a DNS change to hopefully help in the short term. Update the issue -- a failed switch that affected some of our load balancers -- is resolved as of 1 PM PDT. We've lowered our DNS TTL a bit to recover more quickly in the future. While the site never fully went offline, unlucky visitors who got one of the affected IPs would have to wait for the first request to time out before getting to us. - jbyers
